About A4KGo

We believe every child deserves to be heard

A4KGo is a family-run Oregon business built on decades of experience in special education and high-tech systems. We exist to make sure no child waits too long for the communication tools they need.

Our story

Oregon roots. Family heart. High-tech expertise.

A4KGo was founded right here in Oregon by a family with deep roots in both special education and technology. For decades, our founders worked inside Oregon's schools and disability services system — watching firsthand as children with complex communication needs were underserved, not because the technology didn't exist, but because the path to getting it was too hard for families to navigate alone.

We brought a different lens to the problem. Our background integrating high-tech business systems gave us the tools to cut through insurance bureaucracy, streamline documentation, and build processes that actually work at scale — while our special education experience kept us grounded in what matters most: the child in front of us.

Because we're family-run, every family we work with gets our personal attention. We know Oregon's school districts, its Medicaid system, its SLP community. That local knowledge isn't incidental — it's the reason we're able to move faster and get better outcomes for Oregon families than anyone else.

Our mission

Communication access for every child, without the runaround

AAC devices are life-changing — but the path to getting one is often overwhelming. Insurance paperwork, prior authorizations, SLP evaluations, school district negotiations: families shouldn't have to navigate all of that alone while also caring for a child with complex communication needs.

A4KGo exists to remove those barriers. We combine clinical expertise with deep knowledge of insurance systems, funding pathways, and device technology to get children the tools they need — faster, with less stress, and at little or no cost to families.

What drives us

Our values

Child-first always

Every decision we make starts with one question: what's best for this child? Device selection, documentation, funding strategy — all of it is driven by the individual child's needs and communication goals.

We handle the hard parts

Insurance systems are complex by design. We've spent years learning how to navigate them so families don't have to. We handle prior authorizations, appeals, and documentation — you focus on your child.

Families as partners

Parents and caregivers know their children best. We work alongside families — not just for them — making sure they understand every step and feel confident advocating for their child's communication rights.

Clinical excellence

Our team includes experienced speech-language pathologists who specialize in AAC. We stay current on the latest devices, research, and best practices so every child gets the most effective tools available.

Speed matters

Communication delays have real consequences for development. We move quickly — from initial inquiry to device delivery — because every month a child waits is a month of lost communication opportunity.

Proudly Oregon-based

We're a local Oregon business, not a national chain. We know Oregon's school districts, Medicaid system, and SLP community personally — and that local knowledge translates directly into better outcomes for the families we serve.
